BIOGRAPHY

During my business career I have been an avid photographer, which suited my time restraints.  I have now established a quiet studio on the Sunshine Coast and focus on my love of printmaking, sculpting and painting.

The unpredictable nature of printmaking and beautiful quality of line and tone achievable has always appealed. I have a particular interest in intaglio etching, where I am driven to developing my own techniques using large copper plates.

My hands and heart are learning the art of portrait sculpture, almost independently of me it sometimes seems.

My subject themes often include life-worn faces and the stories that made them, the interactivity between human and animal life forms and the impact we have upon one another. I am influenced by the transcendent strength and grace of the horses and other creatures who share life with us.

I continue to learn every day and consider myself privileged to be an artist. I am often overwhelmed by the rich reward that these creative pursuits have afforded me.
